A B O U T
I let the practice of oil painting simmer on the back burner for 17 years, from when I was a senior in high school. I pushed my graphic design practice to the side in 2016, committed to painting, and have since embarked on one wild journey filled with wonderful growth and validation.
I live each day to be a good wife to my husband, a good mom to my daughter, to push through my self-limiting beliefs, to work with and learn more about my talent, and to be grateful for the multitude of blessings that make up my life. All while not wanting to leave the house or answer the phone, because, you know, introverting.
You'll see me push the boundaries of my perfectionism with blurry lines, running paint and wild brushstrokes ... and the occasional failed painting post on Instagram.
My favorite artist book is The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. (If you are struggling with the ups and downs of a creating profession, RUN to get this book. It explains the creative process to a "T.")
I love to flyfish (from a drift boat, totally fair-weather-fishergirl), hike, run, read, philosophize, drink water/wine/whiskey, cook, bake, and help others.
